Notes

From our friends at Artemis Design Co.--This style was created due to popular request from Artemis fans and team members alike. Much like a classic mule, the Kilim Slipper is easy to wear with just about any outfit. Our Kilim shoes are handmade from vintage, hand-sourced Turkish carpets, which means that no two pairs of our Kilim shoes will ever be alike. The pair of Kilim Slippers pictured is the actual pair that you will receive.

Details

Leather sole with 3/4 inch heel. Handmade in Istanbul in a small, family-owned workshop, by cobblers whose families have practiced the craft for generations. Kilims are a style of textile traditionally crafted on Turkey's Anatolian peninsula using wool, cotton, or silk. Kilims are flat-woven, featuring a thin, tight weave that make them a perfect textile for crafting shoes. Every symbol, color, and pattern woven into the Kilim has meaning and represents a hope, a dream, or a story from the life of the weaver.

Size & Fit

The Women's Slipper runs a half-size smaller than our closed-back styles, so if you usually wear a US 8.5, order a size 39, and so on. This style fits all widths, and will mold to the wearer's foot like all of our shoes.
