Notes

A Benrus stainless steel automatic dive watch. These Benrus divers from this period are great looking and rare! The watch is presented on an unusual signed Benrus stainless steel bracelet. The milled steel bi-directional bezel allows for timing an hour, and was designed initially for divers, with a white pip at the 12 o'clock position for easy setting. The dial has a vibrant orange color, with large cheese wedge style hour markers, all framed by a black chapter ring. The hand set are a classic broad arrow hour hand and sword minute hand filled with bright creamy lume, which are framed in black and stand out clearly from the dial for clear readability under water. There is a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The date has a 'quick set' function through pulling out the signed 'B' crown one step. The movement itself comes from Japanese maker Seiko, and represented some of the first 'Seiko' watches to make their way to the US market, at this time. When Benrus went out of business in 1982, the VP of Benrus went to work for Seiko. Case size is 36mm (not including crown). Condition of watch is superb throughout, and remains unpolished. Curated by Foundwell.
